Ukraine Develops Grain Import Facility At Odessa

Ukraine's Black Sea port of Odessa has developed a grain import facility capable of unloading between 3,100 and 4,500 metric tons of grain per day, the port authority said Tuesday.

Two other Ukrainian ports capable of handling imported grain are Ilyichevsk and Nikolaev.

Ukraine's grain harvest fell last year to just over 20 million tons from nearly 40 million tons in 2002, prompting imports of about four million tons of grain in the current marketing year.
