More than 2,000 heads of swine in Negros Occidental, Philippines, dead from classical swine fever since April

 
 

 

Officials in Negros Occidental, the Philippines, reported that more than 2,000 heads of swine have died of hog cholera, or classical swine fever (CSF) in the province since last month.

 

Worst-hit by hog cholera are the areas in the 3rd District in the north, as well as the 4th District in the south, particularly San Enrique town.

 

Negros Occidental remains free of African swine fever (ASF).
