JBS to invest US$351 million to expand its presence in Brazil's Parana state
Major Brazilian meatpacker JBS SA said it will invest BRL 1.85 billion (~US$351.39 million; BRL 1 = US$0.19) in Parana state to build a new processed foods factory and expand the capacity of an existing plant there by 25%, Reuters reported.
The investment in Parana state, Brazil's biggest poultry producing state, will continue through 2025. The plant is based in Rolandia municipality.
