German feed equipment manufacturer BvL expands to Canadian dairy farms

German feeding equipment maker BvL is set to introduce its renowned total mixed rations (TMR) to dairy farms in Canada, through a partnership with Canadian distributor Grand River Robotics, based in Fergus, Ontario, eDairyNews reported.
The company recently showcased its cutting-edge technology at the Canadian Dairy XPO in Stratford, Ontario.
Michael Wigbers, representing BvL, emphasised the company's commitment to customisation, ensuring that their TMR mixers seamlessly integrate with various barns and farms.
Wigbers said BvL has earned a solid reputation for its sturdy construction, offering reliable and long-lasting equipment. The company's patented door design eliminates the need for a conveyor, reducing costs without compromising quality.
He said that BvL manufactures many of the mixer's components in-house, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and quality control.
One of the standout features of BvL machines is their efficiency, requiring less power compared to their competitors. Wigbers highlights the geometric design of BvL's augers, which enables a "quick mix" and contributes to less wear and tear on the machine. This not only ensures the longevity of the equipment but also leads to more economical feed production.
