Egypt's GASC tenders for 55,000-60,000 tonnes wheat
Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities is tendering to buy at least 55,000-60,000 tonnes of wheat for shipment Jun 16-30 on a free-on-board basis, traders said Thursday.
GASC is looking to purchase 55,000-60,000 tonnes of US hard red winter wheat, US soft red wheat, US soft white wheat, French milling wheat, Argentine wheat, or Kazakhstan wheat or 25,000-60,000 tonnes of Russian, German, UK or Syrian wheat, a Cairo-based trader told Dow Jones Newswires.
GASC also announced a tender for a minimum of 25,000 tonnes of wheat, of the same origins stated above, from domestic suppliers to be paid for in Egyptian pounds on the basis of landed cost out of the free-zone areas.
The date for delivery for that tender is up to Jul 15.
The deadline for bids is 1200 GMT Thursday.
