Ukraine increases grain exports by 12 percent
Grain exports from Ukraine jumped by 12 percent to 1.027 million tonnes in April from 914,500 tonnes in March, analysts said on Tuesday (May 15) quoting preliminary official data.
In a statement, UkrAgroConsult agriculture consultancy said Ukraine's wheat exports had risen to 100,600 tonnes in April from 52,600 in March, while corn exports fell by 25 percent to 187,800 tonnes from 250,900 tonnes a month earlier.
The country's barley exports rose to 713,400 tonnes in April from 593,700 tonnes in March.
