Philippines bans Bangladesh poultry products on bird flu worries

The Philippines has banned poultry products from Bangladesh where there has been a recent outbreak of bird flu in poultry, the Philippines' agriculture department said Tuesday (May 15).

The Philippines doesn't import any poultry products from Bangladesh, but the agriculture department said the ban was imposed as "there's a possibility that travelers may bring in pet birds, poultry and poultry products from Bangladesh".
