Slow demand holds China lysine prices flat

Lysine prices remained unchanged during the week ending May 15.

Hog prices continued to slide, dragging farming profits down by 70% compared with a year ago. Sales of feed remained sluggish as a result, decimating the demand for lysine.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine stayed at RMB5.40-5.60/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1449 (May 15)
