Sadia posts Q1 239 million reais loss

 
 

Sadia, Brazil's largest poultry and pork producer, on Thursday (May 14) reported a net loss of 239.2 million reais (US$114.8 million) for the first quarter, after a net profit of 248.3 million in the year-ago period.

 

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, a key measure of cash flow known as EBITDA, fell 76 percent to 62.5 million reais versus 256.9 million reais a year ago.
