Pakistan's sugar millers shift to livestock, dairy business
Due to high costs of producing sugar, millers in Pakistan have set its sights to livestock and dairy business, Pakistani sugar millers said on Saturday (May 12).
Leading sugar millers including former central chairman of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association Ch Zaka Ashraf have made heavy investments in livestock and dairy development.
Those, who have so far entered the livestock and dairy business, are Ashraf Sugar Mills, Layyah Sugar Mills, Kamalia Sugar Mills and Chishtia Sugar Mills. Both the Jamal Din Wali Sugar Mills and Shakar Ganj Sugar Mills have already made heavy investments and are active in the market with leading brands.
The livestock and dairy development sectors have become vibrant sector of the Pakistan economy due to its numerous incentives and huge growth potentials.
