China lysine market stays stable despite downward pressure

Lysine prices stayed soft during the week ending May 14.

With hog prices falling to near-eight year lows, sales of hog feed and hence lysine were slow. Feed producers opted to purchases as and when required having little confidence in the outlook of the hog market.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine remained in the range of RMB8.80-8.90/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1578 (May 14)
