Argentina's 2006/07 corn sales at 11.685 million tonnes

 

 

As of May 11, Argentina had sold 11.685 million tonnes of 2006/07 (March-February) corn for export, up from 10.555 million tonnes a week earlier, the Agriculture Secretariat said Friday.

 

On Tuesday the Agriculture Secretariat announced the reopening of the corn export registry, which was closed in November due to soaring export declarations.

 

By this time last year Argentina had sold 3.85 million tonnes of 2005/06 corn.

 

Each figure represents thousands of tonnes sold.
