EU cattle prices at a high 

European cow prices during March reached their highest levels since 1995, with cow prices averaging over 25 percent higher than the same period in 2004. Cow prices are expected to remain high for the remainder of 2005, as demand is forecast to be strong throughout the year, while beef production is forecast to fall 2-3% due to falling cattle numbers.
