Vietnam Seafood Exports To EU Mark Two-digit Increases
Viet Nam's seafood exports to the EU has so far grown 10.7 percent to 35 million USD with fish and shrimp posting the highest this year, the Ministry of Fisheries said.
Vietnamese shrimp has become popular with EU customers, because of its top quality and the EU's low import tariff of 4.2 percent on the product. Experts predict shrimp exports to this market continue to rise as a result of increasing demand.
The ministry asked Vietnamese seafood exporters to press ahead with ensuring food hygiene safety so as to increase their exports to the European market.
