AVAC Vietnam delivers 1.1 million does of LSD vaccine to South Korea

AVAC Vietnam Joint Stock Company has officially exported a shipment of 1.1 million doses of the AVAC LSD (lumpy skin disease) LIVE vaccine to the South Korean market.
South Korea's Dongwon Pharma Co., Ltd. has been appointed as the importer and distributor for this consignment.
This marks Vietnam's first-ever export of a LSD vaccine for cattle. AVAC LSD LIVE was researched, developed, and manufactured in-house by AVAC Vietnam. Prior to export, the product underwent rigorous testing to ensure top-tier quality, safety, and efficacy.
Dr. Nguyen Van Diep, chief executive officer of AVAC Vietnam, stated that South Korea currently has a high demand for LSD vaccines for its national vaccination programme, as the disease has emerged in the country over the past two to three years.
In a recent international tender organised by the South Korean government, AVAC successfully outperformed approximately five manufacturers from various countries and 14–15 bidding companies. AVAC secured the supply contract thanks to its superior quality and highly competitive pricing.
"AVAC has been preparing for this export plan for about two years. During this time, the enterprise invested heavily in research and development, and conducted quality verification at World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) reference laboratories in Africa and Europe," Dr. Diep emphasised.
AVAC LSD LIVE is a freeze-dried live attenuated vaccine intended for healthy cattle. Livestock typically develop immunity against the LSD virus approximately three weeks after vaccination, with the protection period lasting at least 12 months.
