Pilgrim's Pride to test employees for COVID-19
Pilgrim's Pride will conduct coronavirus testing at its plant in Moorefield, West Virginia of about 940 workers, which will occur on every shift on Monday, said Hardy County sheriff's office spokesman David Maher, reported WVVA.
The West Virginia National Guard will assist in doing tests for the new coronavirus at the poultry processing plant where cases have increased.
Employees will also be screened for symptoms on a daily basis and between shifts.
Health officials have not disclosed whether there are any confirmed virus cases at the plant.
The number of confirmed cases in the county has increased from three on April 27 to 16 as of Sunday, May 10.
