BRF Brazil anticipates operations to be disrupted due to COVID-19
BRF, the major pork and poultry processing company in Brazil, said the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country will affect meat plant operations, reported Reuters.
During a presentation on BRF's strong first quarter results, Lorival Luz, BRF SA's chief executive, said the company expects COVID-19 to affect demand for meat,
He added that the impact of COVID-19 on BRF's financials will be clearer in its second-quarter results. The company anticipates a recession and new consumer trends resulting from the pandemic.
