Kazakhstan's Grain Union calls for new grain silos

The Grain Union of Kazakhstan are proposing to grain exporters to put up new grain silos, declared by Nurlan Tleubayev, President of the Grain Union.

According to him, Kazakhstan can get into the list of five major countries-exporters of grains, because it can painlessly remain with the carry-over stocks of grains at the level of five million tonnes, which may be on the balance of the state-owned company, said Tleubayev.

The insufficient export infrastructure is the only challenge to reach the stability in the exports of Kazakh grains. At the present time, when grain production became stabilized, the problem becomes even more urgent.

Tleubayev noted that grain producers are unable to heavily invest in the construction of storage facilities, so grain exporters should also take part in the work, including even foreign companies. To date, Kazakhstan created a favourable investment climate for the industry development. Even the non-resident companies in Kazakhstan may register in the country and begin exporting grains within two weeks.
