Israel reports fresh Newcastle disease outbreak
Israel's veterinary authorities have reported fresh outbreaks of Newcastle disease in Hazafon, affecting five-week-old broilers and 34-week-old table egg layers.
Out of a total of 62,530 susceptible birds, approximately 9,000 cases were identified. 3,100 deaths were recorded, and 55,900 birds were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive and the epidemiological investigation is on-going.
