Russia's grain harvest expected to be 123-130 million tonnes in 2022

Russia's grain harvest this year could be 123-130 million tonnes, according to Eduard Zernin, president of the Council of the Union of Grain Exporters, Russian media TASS reported.

He noted that Russia is the largest supplier of wheat to the world market, while fully meeting the needs of the domestic market.

The main sales regions for Russian grain are the countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Zernin said.

He added: "We have been steadily producing more than 120 million tonnes of grain for three years, of which we consume about 80 million. Consequently, the rest is our additional reserves and export potential."
