China Methionine Weekly: Poor domestic sales drag down prices (week ended May 9, 2017)
Export demand remained stable as European buyers continued to stockpile inventories. Nonetheless, domestic sales were slack after May Day holidays with broiler prices weakening. Hence, even as the cost of corn stayed firm, methionine producers and distributors slashed prices in a bid to stimulate demand.
