Novus appoints Dr. Koushik De as technical director for South Asia poultry and dairy

 

A 14-year company veteran steps into a expanded technical leadership role as input cost pressures and productivity demands intensify across the region.

Novus International has named Dr. Koushik De as technical director for South Asia, tasking him with leading the company's technical strategy for poultry and dairy customers across the region.

De brings more than two decades of experience in technical, commercial and customer management roles. He most recently served as sales director for South Asia and previously held positions on the technical services team. Manish Singh, regional director for South Asia, said the appointment strengthens the broader organisation.

"Dr. Koushik brings over two decades of expertise in technical, commercial and customer management. With a reputation for deep industry knowledge and a consistent track record of supporting customers, I know customers and colleagues alike look forward to what he will bring to the company and the industry in this role," Singh said.

De said his work across diverse functions has given him a well-rounded understanding of the business. "Working closely with customers, nutritionists, and field teams gave me a deep understanding of animal nutrition, on-ground challenges, and the importance of practical, reliable solutions," he said.

In his new role, De leads a four-person technical services team focused on helping customers address rising input costs, raw material variability and margin pressure, while improving productivity and product quality in both poultry and dairy operations.

He highlighted feed cost as the most pressing concern for producers across the region. "Advanced enzyme solutions can help unlock more value from existing raw materials by supporting nutrient digestibility and feed efficiency," he said, adding that bis-chelated trace minerals offer improved absorption over inorganic alternatives, supporting structural integrity and overall performance.

The team has customer events and technical forums planned throughout the year, aimed at translating the latest science on gut health, nutrient utilisation and animal resilience into practical, return-on-investment-driven outcomes for producers.
