The Indonesian agribusiness group commissions its most advanced Vietnam facilities yet, with combined investment of over VND800 billion and capacity to process 60,000 birds daily.

Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Co., Ltd. has officially inaugurated a new animal feed mill and poultry slaughterhouse in Binh Phuoc province, marking a significant step in completing the company's Feed-Farm-Food integrated supply chain in Vietnam.

Both facilities are located within the Minh Hung-Sikico Industrial Park in Hon Quan district. The feed mill, representing an investment of nearly VND400 billion (US$15.2 million), has an initial capacity of 240,000 tonnes per year, with a second phase planned to double this to 480,000 tonnes annually to serve the Southeast and Central Highlands regions. The plant features cold storage maintained at 20–25°C to preserve raw material quality, alongside a wastewater treatment system and boiler exhaust technology to reduce carbon emissions.

The poultry slaughterhouse, covering nearly 15 hectares and built at a cost of over VND400 billion (US$15.2 million), has a processing capacity of 60,000 birds per day. Equipped with infrastructure imported from Europe, the facility meets GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 standards and is designed to serve restaurants, hotels, canteens and fast-food chains.

Arif Widjaja, General Director of Japfa Vietnam, said the commissioning of the two plants completes the company's supply chain ambitions in the country and will create more than 200 local jobs. "In the next phase, the company will continue to expand investment to optimise production capacity, train human resources and improve product quality," he said.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien expressed confidence that the facilities would contribute positively to Vietnam's livestock sector development. Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee Chairman Tran Tue Hien noted that Japfa has committed to a livestock investment programme in the province valued at US$230 million, describing the company's presence as compelling evidence of the province's appeal to foreign direct investors.

Indonesian Ambassador to Vietnam Denny Abdi attended the inauguration, highlighting the broader investment relationship between the two countries. More than 30 Indonesian companies are currently operating in Vietnam with cumulative investment of US$638.8 million, with bilateral trade targeted to reach US$15 billion by 2028.
