Methionine prices remain flat in China on sluggish demand
Prices of methionine stayed soft during the week ending May 7.
Sales of poultry products and pork were sluggish after the May Day holidays. Feed producers were not motivated to increase stockpiles of methionine, particularly as supplies were plentiful.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were stable to lower in the range of RMB19.60-20.50/kg.
