China lysine prices soften amid light trade

Lysine prices were stable to lower during the week ending May 8.

Trade was light in the lysine market as buyers held back purchases while most producers stood firm with export demand strong and availability tight. Nonetheless, smaller players in the market were willing to negotiate prices in a bid to clear stocks.

For imported 98.5-percent lysine, transacted prices were in the range of RMB10.90-11.60/kg.

RMB1=US$0.1448 (May 8)
