Poultry Prices Rise in Pakistan
Only the privileged class in Pakistan can afford to buy poultry, as prices have once again risen beyond the reach of the middle class families.
In the recent past, reports of the bird flu had reduced the prices by more than 100 percent. Chicken meat was selling at Rs 60 or Rs 70 per kg.
However, the current prices have abruptly reached Rs 140 per kg. According to poultry dealers, the price hike would go up unabated and nobody could stop it.
