Taiwan Feed Group Buys 56,000 MT US Corn In Tender
Taiwan's Members Feed Industry Group bought 56,000 metric tons of U.S. corn from trading house Cargill in a tender concluded Thursday, a Taipei-based trader who received the tender result said.
MFIG bought 19,180 tons of corn at $181.13 a ton and another 36,820 tons at 141.85 cents/bu over the CBOT July contract, both on a cost and freight basis. Shipment dates are either June 20-July 4 from the U.S. Gulf, or July 5- 19 from the Pacific Northwest.
Last Tuesday, the company bought 18,000 tons of corn at $181.00 a ton and another 38,000 tons at 151.44 U.S. cents a bushel, both C&F basis. The shipment dates are either June 1-15 from the U.S. Gulf or June 16-30 from the Pacific Northwest.
