Ukraine's Bershad Poultry Plant 2008 profits reach US$1.72 million
The Bershad poultry processing plant in Floryne, Bershad district, Vinnytsia region in Ukraine ended 2008 with a net profit of UAH (Ukraine Hryvnia) 13.732 million or US$1.72 million.
In 2008, the plant's net revenue went up by 63.8 percent or UAH 46.89 million compared to 2007 by UAH 120.33 million.
Production last year increased by 21.4 percent or UAH16.762 million in comparable prices or UAH 16.762 million compared to 2007, to UAH 94.22 million.
The plant ended 2007 with a net profit of UAH 4.466 million.
The enterprise is an open joint-stock company founded in 1976 and specializes in growing and processing broiler meat.
It also has a retail sales department.
Around 16.996 percent of the company shares are owned by its board chairman Ivan Andrushko, while his daughter Inna Andrushko owns 59.46 percent.
