Jalisco ranks top for food production in Mexico

Mexican state Jalisco consolidated its leading position in the country by contributing 41,254,873 tonnes of food produced from the agricultural, livestock and fishing sectors.

The amount represents 14% of Mexico's national production of 294.5 million tonnes.

For the livestock sector, Jalisco, as in previous cases, ranks first, with 5,504,360 tonnes, representing 22.8% of total national production. This includes 380 thousand tonnes of pork.
