Lithuania's grain exports show decrease

 

 

Lithuania's grain purchase companies exported a total of 74,790 tonnes of grain in March, a decrease of 26.3% on-year, according to the Agricultural Information and Rural Business Centre.

 

Grain imports almost doubled in the reporting period to reach 20,870 tonnes, it said.

 

The country in March imported a total of 9,890 tonnes of wheat, from Latvia and Demark, at an average price of LTL778.8 (US$333.6) per tonne.

 

It exported a total of 73,400 tonnes of wheat - to Latvia, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark, Great Britain and the Faroe Islands.
