India reports illegal wheat seizure

          

 

The police of India recovered 10 bags of wheat from one person in Banihal area of Ramban district.

 

Police recovered the bags of wheat from Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) department illegally purchased by a local from one Farooq Ahmed, police said. Acting on specific information regarding the illegal sale of ration (wheat) belonging to CAPD department, police swung into action and seized the bags from a floor mill of one Ghulam Mohammad owner of the wheat crusher, they said.

 

Mohammad has disclosed that he had purchased the wheat from one Farooq Ahmed, ration dealer of Nachilana who often used to sell the ration of CAPD meant for general public for personal profit to retailers. A manhunt is on to nab the accused dealer who is absconding.
