Vietnam to host international livestock, dairy, meat processing, aquaculture exhibition
Vietnam will host the 9th International Livestock, Dairy, Meat Processing, and Aquaculture Exposition (ILDEX Vietnam) from May 29 to 31, 2024 in. Ho Chi Minh city, providing a vital platform for industry stakeholders to connect and collaborate, Vietnam News reported.
With over 200 leading companies from 30 countries participating, ILDEX Vietnam anticipates welcoming 10,000 trade visitors, offering extensive networking opportunities for professionals in the sector.
Kevin Zhao, project manager at VNU Asia Pacific, one of the event's organisers, said the 2024 edition of ILDEX Vietnam will be a gathering of hundreds of world's leading suppliers from six different industry segments, covering the complete supply chain of livestock production.
The exhibition will feature exhibitors from diverse industry segments, including animal health, feed ingredients and additives, breeding and hatching, feed technology, farm production, processing, and handling.
Highlighting the international appeal of the event, Zhao noted that major exhibitor countries would include China, the US, France, South Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Spain, Denmark, and Thailand, with nearly 90% of exhibitors coming from abroad.
In addition to the traditional showcases, ILDEX Vietnam will introduce the HAN Select Vietnam Pavilion and the exclusive Meat Pro Pavilion, dedicated to horticulture and agriculture and innovative solutions for various food products, respectively.
Duong Tat Thang, head of Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's livestock production department, emphasised the support provided to local companies participating in the National Pavilion - MARD Pavilion, facilitating the promotion of Vietnamese brands and exports.
Thang highlighted the expo as an excellent opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to showcase their brands, explore export opportunities, and stay updated on cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions in the industry.
The expo will also host the "Vietnam Golden Livestock Products" programme for the third time, recognising and honouring individuals and groups contributing significantly to the country's livestock industry development.
Additionally, conferences will offer insights and updates on key industry trends, including strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from livestock farming.
