JBS USA announces new CEO

JBS USA announced that current chief executive officer Tim Schellpeper has decided to step down on May 1 with Wesley Batista Filho, who has over 13 years of experience in the company, to take over as CEO of JBS USA, Swineweb reported.

Gilberto Tomazoni, CEO of JBS Global, said Schellpeper came out of retirement to join their team, delivering record results as the head of JBS' Fed Beef business unit.

Schellpeper joined JBS USA in 2017 as President of the JBS USA Fed Beef business unit before taking over as CEO of JBS USA.

Schellpeper, a protein industry veteran, has held several senior leadership positions throughout his distinguished career.

Batista Filho joined JBS in 2011 and has held several strategic positions, including President of JBS Canada, President of the JBS USA Fed Beef Division, CEO of Seara, and CEO of JBS Brazil.
