China methionine producers cut prices amid weak pre-festive demand
Prices of methionine were lower during the week ending April 30.
Poultry feed producers continued to hold back purchases of methionine amid poor sales. Hence, methionine sellers cut prices in attempts to boost sales before the May Day holidays.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were lower in the range of RMB19.60-20.50/kg.
Trade will be light in the methionine market due to the May Day holidays, keeping prices flat.
