Thailand's central province fears bird flu case
An avian flu outbreak is now feared in Thailand's central Ang Thong Province, where a number of storks have died inexplicably, prompting both local officials and people to be on high alert.
A community head, Suebsak Waewkaew, told reporters on Friday (Apr 27) that the birds were found dead in an open-ground behind a deserted factory near the Chamlong-Nong Jik Road in Sawangha District.
The authorities concerned are looking into the cause of the mass deaths of the birds, with a final finding expected shortly.
