Armenia to invest in modernisation of poultry farm

A total of EUR1.1 million (US$1.63 million) will be invested in the modernisation of Armenian poultry farm Nubarashen OJSC, Economy Minister of Armenia Tigran Davtyan said on Thursday (Apr 28).

Davtyan said a new poultry production and processing shop will be created using the funds. The investments are expected in two stages in the period from April 2011 to July 2013. He said that nearly 100 new jobs will be created at the plant.

Nubarashen Poultry Farm OJSC was founded in June 1995. After privatisation, the shares were owed by the company's staff.
