Vietnam's animal feed imports drop to US$774 million

 

 

Vietnam is estimated to have lowered the purchase of animal feed and materials by 0.9%, at US$774 million, in the first four months of 2011, the General Statistics Office said.

 

In April, the country bought animal feed and materials for its production worth US$140 compared to US$175 million in the previous month.

 

Last year, Vietnam imported US$2.7 billion of raw materials to make animal feed, compared to US$2.1 billion in 2009.

 

The country is expected to import about US$3 billion of raw materials for animal feed this year.
