China estimates April soy imports at 4.23 million tonnes
China's Ministry of Commerce (MoC) forecasts that the country will see arrivals of about 4.23 million tonnes of soy imports in April.
The imports delivered in May are estimated at 4.69 million tonnes.
The MoC made the forecast according to importers' reports during the April 1-15 period, and the regular forecast is usually lower than actual imports as it does not include all cargoes. It usually releases its estimates twice a month.
The following table shows the MoC's estimates on arrivals of imports of soy, soymeal, soyoil, palm oil, rapeseed oil, and rapeseed in April and May.
