Western Australia expects record grain crops
Western Australia grain growers are expected to expand grain planting by about 20 percent this year, encouraged by record high grain prices.
WA Farmers Federation spokesman Derek Clauson said while early rains gave farmers in the northern Australia wheatbelt a head start, most growers have only just started seeding.
Clauson added that if there will be sufficient rain this month, growers should be on track for a bumper crop.
