Ukraine planted early spring crops throughout intended areas
Ukrainian agrarians planted spring grains and leguminous plants throughout an area of approximately 3.7 million ha, which accounted for 49% of the intended areas, and this also consisted of spring grains and leguminous crops at 3.39 million ha which hit 92% of the planned area.
The above data is given by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as of April 22, 2011.
In particular, agrarians sowed spring wheat throughout 267,000 ha or 95% from the planned areas.
Agricultural enterprises started corn sowing works, and sowed the grain throughout the areas of 316,000 ha, 10% of the planned areas.
