7% of winter crops damaged in Ukraine
In Ukraine, as of April 22, 595,000 hectares from 8.557 million hectares sown under winter crops were damaged, which is 7% of the whole territory, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, on that date, 7.96 million hectares of winter crops survived, 3.359 million ha (42.2% of the total land area) are in good condition and 3,772 million ha (47.4%) are in fair condition.
In addition, 831.5 thousand ha, 10.4% of winter grains are weak and sparse. According to the forecast of the Ministry, 691.4 thousand hectares, or 8.1% of winter crops require replanting.
