Maple Leaf Foods plans "innovation centre"
Canadian food firm Maple Leaf Foods said on Thursday (April 26) its plans for a "food innovation centre" to enhance product development, culinary knowledge and consumer insights across the company's global meats, meals and bakery businesses.
Maple Leaf expects to invest approximately $12 million (Canadian) in the facility, which will be constructed near to its existing office tower in the Meadowvale Business Park in Mississauga, Ontario. It will include culinary facilities, a designated foodservice kitchen, sensory and product development areas, teaching facilities, and a global culinary insight and trend library.
