Ukraine's Globino group to construct the second of five pig complexes
Oleksandr Kuzmynskyi, owner and founder of Globino group of companies told journalists that the company plans to build the second of five pig complexes by September.
"We'll complete building the second complex in August. The first one was commissioned in the beginning of the previous year. The complexes are capable of raising and fattening 5,000 pigs. We'll have commissioned the second complex by September," Kuzmynskyi noted.
At the same time he emphasised the company did not plan to start construction of another complex in 2013. "We have certain commitments to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). So, we have to harmonise our plans. They have changed already since we had to inject funds into the construction of the meat packing plant," the group owner said.
According to Kuzmynskyi, the company will re-consider construction of a new pig complex by 2014.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2011 the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development granted the Globino Group US$25 million to build five pig complexes with the capacity of 5,000 pig population and it further expansion.
The group of companies Globino includes Globinsky Meat Plant limited liability company, Globinsky Creamery joint-stock company, Globinsky milk and meat complex limited liability company, Globinsky pig complex and Globinsky Rayagrostroy limited liability company, Design and Construction Association Dnipro limited liability company.
