Sales of chicken products climbing rapidly in Norway

Sales of fresh chicken products have risen and chicken and turkey sausage has increased by more than 40 percent in recent years, a survey showed.

Sales of fresh turkey are rising at a record rate.

The rise in consumption is linked to an increasingly health-conscious population especially in urban areas and mostly among the young in Oslo.

Poultry consumption, at 15 kg per capita, is five times greater than 25 years ago, a survey showed.
