Chinese lysine producers' firm stance strengthens prices

Lysine prices moved higher during the week ending April 24.

Despite falling corn prices, which would help to lower production costs, lysine prices moved higher over the week. Several producers who limited output lifted prices, albeit marginally, while demand was stable amid strong soymeal prices.

Price quotes of 70-percent lysine were at RMB4.70-4.80/kg.

Lysine prices will remain firm.
