Russia's Mikhailovsky Broiler builds new feed mill
One of the largest poultry producers in Far East Russia, Mikhailovsky Broiler CJSC has started the construction of a new feed mill.
The new feed mill is to produce three railroad carts or 210 tonnes of broiler feed a day to feed their own poultry stock.
The company's existing feed mill was built in 2006, however since then the company's meat production has more than doubled since then, the feed mill is no longer sufficient to meet the company's required feed.
Deputy Director General of factory farming at Mikhailovsky Broiler, Oleg Mamaev, said that the capacity of the new feed mill under construction will be 25 tonnes per hour.
All raw materials for feed produced will be bought domestically in Russia. There will be nine farms involved in the work of the company located throughout the territory of Primorsky Krai, from Dalnerechensk to Ussuriysk.
