Nutriad to showcase research and products at Asian Pacific Aquaculture
The 2018 APA convention (Asian Pacific Aquaculture) will take place in Taipei, Taiwan from April 23-26. APA18 is organised by the World Aquaculture Society - Asian Pacific Chapter and hosted by the National Taiwan Ocean University. Besides hosting a technical conference, sponsor Nutriad would also be organizing an aquaculture distributor meeting and a customer dining event.
"Taiwan has been a pioneering country in modern aquaculture and although production is limited today in Taiwan itself, the expertise of many companies and consultants plays a key role in the development of aquaculture in Asia and worldwide," says Allen Wu, APAC Regional Manager Aquaculture Nutriad, based in Taipei.
This year, Nutriad selected APA18 as its platform for organising an aquaculture distributor meeting and a customer dining event. Furthermore, Nutriad is sponsoring a scientific session "Functional feed for health management".
"Sponsoring a scientific session provides an excellent opportunity for our central and regional aqua team as well as our partners and customers in APAC to learn about current market developments and new findings regarding the application of our functional feed additives for fish and shrimp," said Dr. Peter Coutteau, Nutriad Business Unit Director Aquaculture.
During the sponsored session, Dr. Isern i Subich, Business Development Manager Aquaculture Health Nutriad will present a talk on "Effect of Novel Feed Additive on Performance and Health Indicators during Natural Thermal Fluctuations in Gilthead Sea Bream Sparus aurata in Cage Culture."
Mr. Ho, Gim Chong, Product Manager Farm Products Aquaculture Nutriad in APAC, will report on his field experiences in "Farm Application of a Functional Feed Additives: An Essential Tool in The Health Management of White Feces Syndrome in Asian Shrimp Farming".
Nutriad's central and regional aqua teams will engage with industry professionals and academics at their booth at APA18 to discuss programs for aquaculture additives supporting the prevention of diseases and parasitic infections (SANACORE®, AQUASTIM®, APEX® AQUA, BACTINIL® AQUA); species-specific digestive/metabolic enhancers to reduce feed cost and improve performance in fish and shrimp (AQUAGEST®, AQUALYSO, LIPOGEST) and palatability enhancers and attractants to replace fishmeal and stimulate appetite (AQUABITE®).
