JBS expands meat exports to Cambodia and the Dominican Republic

JBS announced last week that it has commenced exporting to the markets of Cambodia and the Dominican Republic, which have begun to take delivery of pork and poultry through its subsidiary, Seara.

In the case of Cambodia, the company has dispatched the first shipment of raw pork meat intended for the cities of Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. The Asian country is becoming an important client, and JBS intends to maintain regular business and is looking into partnerships with the retail sector to send product mixes.

In the case of the Dominican Republic, JBS approved earlier this month about 14 plants producing chicken protein in seven states and the Federal District, and has shipped the first exports. The country is a tourism destination said to have huge potential for higher consumption in the post-pandemic future.

With the opening of these new markets, JBS now exports to over 150 countries worldwide.
