South Korea To Import Corn From Indonesia
South Korea will import 1 million tons of corn from Indonesia every year to meet its needs, following decreasing supplies from exporters in the United States and China, Indonesia`s Agriculture Minister Bungaran Saragih said.
"South Korea is looking for corn from tropical countries, such as Indonesia," Saragih said after attending a harvest of corn in Tenilo village, Limboto subdistrict in Gorontalo province.
During the occasion, the minister, who was accompanied by Gorontalo Governor Fadel Muhamma, also sent off the second batch of corn exports to Malaysia.
