Batavia, NY - At around 9 PM EST on 09 Apr, USDA sent emails out to the suppliers of the Farmers to Families Foodbox program extending purchases to the end of May. The Foodbox program was previously set to expire on 30 Apr. The news sent food distributors scrambling for dairy products over the weekend and caused barrel cheese prices to increase by 7.25 cents on Mon.
